As we begin our Lenten journey, our community at St. Francis of Assisi Anglican Church is aware of the lifting of gathering restrictions as Alberta enters Stage 2.

While there are no longer any public health measures that affect church gatherings, Archbishop Kerr-Wilson and the COVID-19 Task Force have shared guidelines on how we can be safe and considerate of others during this change.

Here are some tips on how we are moving forward over the next month:

  • Masking is still strongly recommended in the church and parish halls for anyone over the age of 12
  • During service, social distancing between families is encouraged
  • Coffee hours and other church socials is allowed, but we will continue to offer Zoom activities
  • We will continue to use priestly intinction. You can also contact your parish representative to receive Reserved Sacrament if you attend our services through YouTube

As always, you should monitor your health and not attend in-person worship or other activities if you are not feeling well or are presenting symptoms.

Archbishop Kerr-Wilson offers his prayers for our continued health and encouragement as we observe the holy Lenten season and the celebration of the Resurrection at Easter.

Do reach out to me or your parish council representative with any questions.

If you are not sure who your parish council representative is, write to administration@stfrancisairdrie.ca.

May God bless each of you.
