What a great start to the Fall activities with the women's dinner that took place last Friday, September 23rd. The night was a wonderful way to connect as a faith family.
Organized and hosted by the men of the parish, the dinner was attended by 40 women of all ages who shared in an evening of fellowship and conversation.
The guest speaker Nancy McPhee shared her faith journey. She talked about how God's will in her life, along with a strong community of support through the church, helped her navigate highs and lows, from the joys of fostering to the loss of loved ones.
Nancy also shared how her son Stephen was inspired at a young age to give back to the community, and the how this led to the founding of Stephen's Backpacks, a non-profit focused on ending family homelessness across Canada.
Lastly, we want to celebrate and acknowledge the 13 men (and their younger helpers) who worked very hard to plan the menu, cook, set up the venue, serve and cleanup.
