This past weekend, April 17–18, 2026, members of the Anglican Church Women (ACW) gathered for their Diocesan Conference, held both in person and via Zoom. Centered on the theme, “Come and Journey with our Saviour,” the conference offered a meaningful time of reflection, learning, and spiritual renewal.

Though modest in number, with 7–8 women gathered in person each day and others joining online, the sense of fellowship and shared purpose was rich and deeply felt. Over the course of the weekend, participants were blessed by four (4) engaging speakers who explored what it means to be a pilgrim—and how the journey of faith transforms us.

Highlights included a presentation by Rev. Steve Bateman, who shared striking images and reflections from his time walking the Camino Trail through Portugal and Spain, offering a glimpse into the physical and spiritual depth of pilgrimage. Attendees also learned about mission work in Kenya through representatives of Alongside Hope, gaining insight into how faith is lived out in service beyond our borders. A particularly touching moment came through the sharing of a personal life journey by one of our own members—an honest and inspiring testimony of God’s presence through life’s seasons.

Creativity also found its place in the gathering, as participants engaged in artwork centered on the transformation of the butterfly—a powerful symbol of renewal, growth, and new life in Christ.

It was, by all accounts, a truly inspiring weekend. One that reminded all present that the journey of faith is not walked alone, and that along the way, God is continually shaping, renewing, and drawing us closer to Himself.

We give thanks for all who participated, led, and shared in this beautiful time of fellowship and spiritual growth.
